War—real war—is not a soccer match. One that, as the President of the United States is currently doing in the absurd chants he’s so good at, ends with a reprise of the schoolyard song: “We won, with our fingers in our noses.” Even though this text will attempt to highlight the American defeat, and despite the temptation, we’ll spare the reader the following verse on how “we lost.”
Paper Tiger, the Return
Thus, we hear many daily commentaries that counter the absurdities of Donald Trump—echoed by the cosmic moron who serves as his “Secretary of War”—with an interpretation closer to reality. That of a strategic defeat for the United States (and Israel, by the way), unable to achieve any of the strategic objectives—sometimes contradictory—that were rattled off as its rout unfolded. Catastrophic because, as the truth unfolds, its propaganda is revealed for what it is: absurd. With the depletion of stockpiles revealing the Empire’s military machine to be stripped to the bone, the extensive destruction of American facilities in the region, human casualties incomparable to what is falsely reported, the inability to implement a completely fancied-out blockade of Iran, the grotesque farce of the so-called rescue of a pilot serving as a cover for an operation that is both disastrous and ridiculous, the inability of a bloated navy to carry out its missions and its preference for cautiously remaining at a distance from theaters of operations, etc… Let’s not dwell on it any further; enough is enough—or rather, let’s summarize: militarily, the Empire is nothing more than a “paper tiger.” And this is hardly breaking news; Mao Zedong had already warned us of this in his day.
